Teardrop of life

Alone she stood across the snowy door,
A shaft of light far away,a mote
Her cup of tea was long forgotten,
A lump of anxiety  formed in her throat
Fear gripped her shaky soul
Up and down she paced in the hellhole
Her mind threw up random thoughts
They clogged and tied themselves in knots
Of despair and worry
Her heart raced up in a whirry
The jeep landed at her cursed threshold
Oh what sight did behold
The poor man lay like an animal
Lifeless and breath was minimal
His end was near
He wanted his wife to give him some cheer
After all this end was what she signed up for
This life was the one she would abhor
The man had no words to say
All his wife wanted him was to stay
The life left his wounded body
Spouse stood shaken,he was now a nobody
The life at the border was hard
To her ,the life ahead was scarred
With no one to share her laughs
Sorrow was plain as a pikestaff
To the mourning heart
What shall stop the feelings being goulart
The infant son lay whining in the crib
Oh heart how long will you mourn
Nursing this broken dream and a shattered life
To this waif a world of strife
To years and beyond the heart swells with stinging pain,
To wallow or to deign the feeling of worthlessness
To nestle in the wilderness of indifference
Or to rise to a life beyond this woe
An antidote to a glimmer of hope
Shatters when stopes of sorrow surpass the scope.

I have always pondered over aquariums. The transparent surface, the glossy exterior and the clear waters. The bottom is covered with a lay...
